Dana Sullivan, DNP/FNP-BC | Northwestern Specialists for Women

Dana Sullivan, DNP/FNP-BC

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Dana started her nursing career at Northwestern Prentice Women's Hospital’s postpartum units. After a few years, she was inspired to transition to Northwestern's Center for Fertility & Reproductive Medicine to gain experience and care for patients with infertility and fertility preservation management. This nursing experience included intrauterine inseminations, coordinating, and monitoring oral and injectable treatment cycles, fertility preservation for patients with cancer and transgender patients, and in-vitro preoperative and postoperative care. As part of her doctoral nursing education at Rush University, she implemented a transgender education quality improvement project at Northwestern with an emphasis on improving the staff's self-efficacy caring for patients. Dana’s interests in the Ob-Gyn field include treatment of infertility and family planning. She is passionate about forming strong patient relationships to ensure patients feel supported during sensitive fertility and gynecologic care.
